Winter Concert

 If you were fortunate to be able to see one of our concerts yesterday you will already know just how amazing our class performed! I must say that my favorite piece was the Happy Potter chimes! All students blew me away with how great they performed! With so much illness going around, our class talked about the importance of washing hands in the classroom throughout the day as we want to enjoy our holidays!  Students are currently working on Region Projects in Social Studies. Please ask the about this! In Math we are working on a mini unit on Coordinate Geometry. This is one of the easier concepts in grade 5 math, so it is a nice confidence booster. We will be having a quiz tomorrow or Monday.  We have also been listening to a read aloud book, Turtle Boy. We will be having a check-in quiz on this tomorrow as well.  This morning after watching the grade 1-3 concert, we went on a winter walk with Mrs. Barr's class around the pond. Next Two Weeks Updates in Room 126!

 Students and Parents of Room 126, As we are slowly approaching the Winter Break, I want to thank all students and their families for a fantastic start to the school year! There has been so many memorable moments of learning and excitement and it very much speaks to the kindest and resilient students of Room 126! Two more weeks to go!  Attendance will continue to be important up to the last day as we will continue to be learning and completing projects. Thank you to those who have contacted me about starting holidays early.  We will be completing our dioramas and write-ups about City Hall School this week and students may take them home at the end of the Winter Concert!  Students will be completing a big Canada Regions Project this week and next (possibly into the new year).  This week is Winter Concert!
