Important Weekly Update

Good Sunday Evening,  Thank you everyone who was able to come in for Parent/Teacher interviews. I was wanting to follow up on Open Minds City Hall School. We are required to have several volunteers in order to run this program for the week. Please complete your security Clearances and get back to me asap with the date(s) you are able volunteer for.  Open Minds City Hall School November. 27th - Dec. 1st Campus Calgary / Open Minds is an innovative school program that brings the classroom to vibrant community settings. Teachers, students and community experts come together for a week-long curriculum-based experience, designed to meet the needs of each individual learner. The result is a catalyst for learning activities throughout the year that inspire and prompt critical thinking and problem solving. More information will be provided closer to the date of our experience. In preparation for this week-long experience, it will be imperative that we have enough volunteers for each day. Pleas

Good Day Parents and Students of Room 126! My apologies for not being the greatest Blogger! I promise that I am working on it.  We have been very busy since the beginning of the school year, creating and developing relationships! A fun time was had by our younger students who many even started dancing with their robots! Students are also beginning to demonstrate their leadership skills through classroom and school jobs which include helping grade 1 students get ready at the end of the day as well as greeting younger students in the hallw

I am very excited to welcome back students for a 4-day week of Back To School! I promise we will get up to a full 5-day week! 😁 Our first couple days were full of getting to know you games and setting routines and expectations! We certainly have a lovely class in Room 126!  Please make sure you get all your forms completed and sent in so that we can start taking walks to the local ponds. I would also appreciate parents completing their security clearances and/or ensuring they are up to date as we will require many volunteers for our week at City Hall School, November 27th - December 1st, as well as a field trip tentatively planned for May to the Military Museum.  This week will be filled with many getting to know you activities and pre-assessments. Pre-assessments are necessary so that I can effectively plan lessons that target each and every learner in our classroom. I share these results with you during each Parents/Teacher conferences. I will share a schedule once things settle a
