Wilder Institute – Burrowing Owl Conservation

  Wilder Institute – Burrowing Owl Conservation   As participants in the Conservation Champions Festival with the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, the grade 3 students in Mrs. Moravec’s and Mrs. Price’s classes, have chosen to support and educate others on the burrowing owl.    Copperfield School will be collecting donations starting on April 22 nd  through April 26 th  2024 to raise money for the “Head Starting Program” that is aimed at caring for and protecting burrowing owlets until they are stronger, and able to be released safely into the wild as adults. Our hope is that we will be able to raise over a thousand dollars towards this program.   For  every  $2 donation, your child will earn a classroom ballot.  After the fundraiser is over, we will draw a ballot and the winning class will get the opportunity to play a game of dodgeball vs. the teachers and staff of Copperfield! The more toonies your class brings in, the more ballots your class gets, and the more ballots your class gets,

  Mrs. MacQueen’s Room 126 Classroom Update and Important Dates to Remember   Good Evening Parents and Students,   Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child is on time and ready to learn each day! We continue to chip away at the very robust grade 5 curriculum with success! Below is an update on what we are working on in each Curriculum area as well as an update of important dates.   Please note that I will be away next week and Mrs. Kris Wright will be stepping in during my absence. She is a lovely teacher that I have worked with over the last several years and I am sure our class will enjoy her! I will be reviewing behavior and academic expectations with students this week in preparation.   Math  – We are currently finishing up 2 by 2-digit and 3 by 2-digit multiplication with a math quiz at the end of this week.
