Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year! I am pleased to introduce myself as your child’s grade five teacher. My name is Mrs. Emily MacQueen and this will be my twelfth year with the CBE and second year at Copperfield School. Previously, I worked in other schools within the CBE and boards within Alberta. I am a passionate teacher who strives to make learning fun and rewarding! This year, unlike others, will be a memorable one! I look forward to working with you to ensure a safe and caring learning experience for your child. First Days of School: During the first few weeks of school, I will be learning about your child, both personally and academically. As building relationships will be of utmost importance within our cohort classroom among students and myself, we will be spending time getting to know one another in order to build a cohesive classroom community.
