Wilder Institute – Burrowing Owl Conservation As participants in the Conservation Champions Festival with the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, the grade 3 students in Mrs. Moravec’s and Mrs. Price’s classes, have chosen to support and educate others on the burrowing owl. Copperfield School will be collecting donations starting on April 22nd through April 26th 2024 to raise money for the “Head Starting Program” that is aimed at caring for and protecting burrowing owlets until they are stronger, and able to be released safely into the wild as adults. Our hope is that we will be able to raise over a thousand dollars towards this program. For every $2 donation, your child will earn a classroom ballot. After the fundraiser is over, we will draw a ballot and the winning class will get the opportunity to play a game of dodgeball vs. the teachers and staff of Copperfield! The more toonies your class brings in, the more ballots your class gets, and the more ballots your class gets, the better...
